Bioanalyzer provides sizing information for DNA, RNA and proteins like the Fragment Analyzer, but is a lower throughput instrument. The Bioanalyzer uses proprietary chips instead of plates or tubes. 11 samples (+1 ladder) can be run in parallel, with no expanded ability to run chips in sequence. Only 1 uL of sample, 5-500 pg/uL, is required per run.
Bioanalyzer is offered as a bookable instrument with user provided reagents. Bioanalyzer sample analysis service is also available upon request. The CMB stocks the High Sensitivity DNA kit for sizing dsDNA from 50-7,000 bp. Additional kits for DNA, RNA and protein are available from Agilent.
