IUGS definition of Eclogite: "Plagioclase free metamorphic rock composed of ≥75% by volume of omphacite and garnet, both of which are present as major constituents, the amount of neither of them being higher than 75% by volume. If either omphacite or garnet is present in an amount ≥75%, the rock name is either garnet omphacite or omphacite garnetite."
