2.3 Name the Mineral Assemblages

Based on your observations of the thin sections, choose the three minerals from the checkbox list that comprise the equilibrium mineral assemblage for each rock in addition to muscovite (Ms) and quartz (Qz). Ignore the opaque minerals and accessory minerals such as tourmaline and zircon. If you link to an image page, use the Back Button to return or the check marks will disappear. When your answer is confirmed, write down the mineral assemblage for each sample. You will need the assemblage info to complete the next pages.
