Click on the "Show Phases" button to see the equilibrium phase assemblages of points in the diagram as the mouse is moved over the diagram. The colored triangles that appear have areas that are proportional to the weight pecentages of minerals whose compositions occur at the corners of the triangle. This triangle would balance on a fulcrum at the location of the bulk composition if a mass was placed on each corner equal to the weight percentage value the corner component.
