Art Department Safety

The Art Department fosters a culture of safety. Our Safety Policy for Studio Art Students contains safety information pertinent to specific disciplines of study as well as general safe studio practice guidelines. Also included are required methods of handling hazardous art materials to minimize risk to the user and to the environment.

All students working in Hillyer studio art and architecture facilities, whether for coursework or employment, must complete and pass a quiz to affirm their understanding of and compliance with these safety policies. The quiz is accessible each semester via Moodle.
