Asli Ali

Hi! I'm Asli, the STEAM Outreach Coordinator. I get the amazing job of working with the fantastic STEAM team and helping them with their impactful projects at Smith and beyond! I'm also a Smith '22J grad--I was an Environmental Science and Policy major and Arabic minor. My fun fact is I have a knack for planning and executing surprise parties 🙂

Kristine Le '25

Hello! My name is Kristine Le and I am a junior majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Statistical and Data Sciences. I am a Jandon Activist Fellow and am the lead of the STEAM Robotics Outreach Initiative. The STEAM Robotics Outreach Initiative works with community partners to design and implement holistic robotics programs for learners of all ages in the Greater Connecticut River Valley community!

Maryam Ahmad '25

My name is Maryam and I am a junior majoring in Biochem and Education. As a part of the STEAM team I have been helping plan and facilitate pop ups and creating/updating the STEAM Team bulletin Board in Burton Hall. This year, I am working with community partners to facilitate one-day workshops and introduce kids to STEAM topics in fun and creative ways!

Emma Robertson '25

Hello! My name is Emma Robertson and I am a junior majoring in Neuroscience with a prospective minor in Education and Child Studies. As a STEAM Team member, I have developed and implemented interactive and art-infused STEM curriculum in the local education community, primarily at Bridge Street Elementary School in Northampton. This year, I plan on coordinating more educational, STEAM-based activities with community partners and helping out with craftivist pop-ups at Smith.

Lilliana Frantz '25

Hello everyone! My name is Lilliana and I am a junior Engineering Major and Computer Science minor. As part of the STEAM Team, I helped plan Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGTED) which exposes students to engineering and other STEM fields. I have worked as a facilitator for the robotics outreach team and this year I am helping to develop curriculum for one-day events.

Hi everyone, my name is Chon-sa and I am a junior Engineering Major and Education Minor. I am a STEAM Team Ambassador, and am currently working to plan and facilitate pop-ups, working as a facilitator with the robotics outreach team, and putting together the STEAM Team’s Instagram.

Hello! My name is Seyeon, and I am a sophomore Computer Science major. I am one of the STEAM team ambassadors and I am working as an IGTED (Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day) Coordinator, Robotics Outreach Initiative curriculum developer, and coordinator of monthly STEAM Team art pop-up events.

Hi everyone! My name is Hadley, and I’m a sophomore Chemistry major and Environmental Science & Policy minor. On the STEAM Team, I help plan and facilitate pop-up events, and I will be a part of designing a curriculum for Science Friday’s at Homework House—a community partner—in the spring!

Hello! My name is Kim and I am a sophomore double majoring in Computer Science and Data Science. I am a part of STEAM Robotics Outreach Initiative as a curriculum developer and recently helped in planning activities for Geek is Glam. This year I hope to continue coordinating Robotics activities for both our partner school and outside events as well as help with STEAM pop up events.

Hi! My name is Hannah, and I am a Neuroscience major and a prospective Theatre or Statistical and Data Sciences minor (still figuring it out!). This year, I hope to get involved in planning, attending and facilitating art pop-up events with the STEAM Team as well as coordinating science education activities with various community partners.

Vivien Qiao '23

Hi everyone! My name is Vivien (she/her) and I’m a senior biochemistry and engineering major from Andover, MA. I work on several projects including Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (in collaboration with the Society of Women Engineers), the Your Story on STEM project, and other pop-up events. I am passionate about sharing my love for STEM and love working with kids to empower them. My hobbies include doing jigsaw puzzles, rock climbing, and going on outdoor walks.
