Episode IV
As the action begins we see an Imperial starship chasing a smaller Rebel vessel carrying stolen secrets. They catch and board the fleeing Rebels, but not before the desperate Princess Leia manages to hide the secrets with two droids and send them away in a lifeboat.
The droids are discovered by Luke Skywalker, a young man growing up on the desert planet Tatooine. When the imperial soldiers come in search of the stolen plans, Luke is forced to flee for his life, accompanied by the aged Jedi named Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Taking passage with the notorious smuggler Han Solo and his companion Chewbacca, Luke's plans must change once again when they are captured by the Imperial forces and brought on board the Death Star, a space fortress the size of a small moon. Against all odds they manage to rescue Princess Leia and escape from the Death Star, but not before Obi-Wan Kenobi is slain in a duel with the sinister Darth Vader.
Taking the stolen plans to the main Rebel base, Luke and the others take part in a last-ditch attempt to defeat the Imperial forces before all is lost. Bravely attacking the approaching Death Star along with the other Rebel pilots, Luke manages to exploit its hidden weakness and trigger a chain reaction that destroys the weapon once and for all. At the end of the movie, he and his friends are recognized as heroes.
