Instrument name: Zeiss Axio Imager M2 Light Microscope (LM)
Description: The Zeiss upright light microscope is a research-quality microscope with brightfield, phase contrast, DIC, polarized light, and widefield fluorescence capabilities. The Zeiss Axio Imager M2 microscope is equipped with two digital cameras: an Axiocam 503 color camera and an Axiocam 503 monochrome camera. An automated filter turret and shutter, a VIS_LED for transmitted light, a Colibri7 for the illumination of fluorescently labelled samples and the availability of Zen software allows for easy data acquisition and image analysis of larger data sets (z-stack, time-lapse, etc.). The availability of an Apotome and high quality objective lenses allows for improved image quality. Training consists of hands-on microscope instruction.
