|-------- Conferences

The major activity of the association will be to attend conferences! Fun! These conferences are several throughout the year and are on different locations arounf the US. There are two components that are always present on a PBL conference: workshops and competitive events. The workshops are designed to build leadership and networking qualities. The compettitive events are in similar to exams (but don't freak out) and cover many academic subjects (economics, computer scence, biology and so on). The academic subjects are always different. This part of the conference is not for evaluating the abbilities of the members, but rather it is providing them with the oppor- tunity to show their knowledge and to get credit for it. At the end of each academic assessment, there will be prises given to the ones that have done best. There is no need to say that the weight of such a prise is significant when you go out in the world to look for a job.
