Welcome to the home page of the NIAID/NIH Filariasis Research Reagent
Repository (FR3) Center--Molecular Resources Division. This web site
is designed to provide you with information about all of the molecular
resources available through the Center. In addition, we will also post
announcements of relevance to molecular work being done in filariasis
and
links to other relevant web sites (such as
OnchoNet). If
you have announcements that you would like to have posted on this web site,
please
send them to Susan Haynes
(shaynes@smith.edu). In addition, we intend to post basic protocols
for molecular research on filarial parasites under the "Protocols" section. If you are successful in developing
a new protocol that you think would be useful to the community, you can
send it
to Dr. Li for posting on this section of the web site. To request
materials available through the Center, please use the
requisition form.
To submit materials to the Center please use the submission
form.
The Center will be most useful if the entire filiarial research
community participates in submitting news, protocols, and scientific
materials. We currently have available cDNA libraries, genomic
libraries, gridded libraries, individual clones, human sera and
microarrays (see Research Materials for a complete list). We will be
adding new materials to this list as the Center develops them. The
Center will be even more useful if members of the filariasis research
community also submit libraries, clones, sera, etc. to the Center for
distribution. This arrangement will relieve your laboratory from the
time-consuming process of dealing with requests for reagents. If you
have questions about the contents of this site or suggestions for
improving the site, please
send them to the webmaster. Submit
suggestions regarding the functioning of the Center and ideas about
additional resources you would like to see offered through the Center
directly to me at genome@smith.edu.
Best wishes and good luck with all of your research endeavors!
Steve
