Phonolitic Basanite: “A collective term for alkaline basaltic rocks that are the volcanic equivalent to foid monzonites or monzogabbros and consist of plagioclase, feldspathoid, olivine, qugite, and often minor sanidine. If the amount of olivine is less than 10% it is a phonolitic tephrite.”
