  • More dessert: Sweetie’s candy store (Main Street)

Other things to do: If children/friends/family are with you, they may enjoy the math!  And if they don’t, some other things in walking distance are:

  • Smith College Botanic Garden and greenhouse
  • Smith College Art Museum
  • Paradise Pond and the Mill River walking path
  • Art galleries downtown (R Michelson has an area featuring children’s artists)
  • Bookstores downtown (including Broadside Books and Raven Used Books)
  • Other shopping (knitters may particularly want to visit Webs and/or Northampton Wools)

Other things to do in close driving distance:

  • Arcadia wildlife sanctuary (walking trails and bird sanctuary run by the Audubon Society)
  • Dinosaur footprints (fossils of dinosaur footprints between the highway and the river, used to conclude that many dinosaurs were pack animals, 1099 US-5 parking area off the highway)
  • Mount Tom hiking paths
  • Historic Deerfield (restored 18th century New England village with museum and guided tours)
