Major in Computer Science
Minors in Computer Science
The department recently consolidated five of its minors to one, as you can see in the online Course Catalog, accessible at this link. Aside from this consolidated minor, we also offer a minor in Digital Arts and in Digital Music.
Students may also be interested to explore the 5-College Biomathematical Sciences certificate, or the Arts &Technology Interdepartmental minor.
Honors Program
Students interested in a year-long capstone experience may be interested in working on an Honors Thesis during their senior year. Please contact faculty in the department or the Honors Director for more information.
Selecting a Computer Science Major/Minor Adviser
To pick a Computer Science major advisor, please fill out this online questionnaire: CS Major/Minor Declaration & Adviser Form. The form will automatically notify the CompSci Administrative Assistant Daryl Jett. Then:
- Daryl will process your request and assign you a faculty advisor, depending on the number of advisees currently assigned to CS faculty.
- Both you and your new advisor will receive and email from Daryl indicating that you have a new advisor.
- Get a Change of Advisor form (scroll to bottom of page) from the Registrar's office, fill it out, and have your new advisor sign it.
- That's it!
