Our Classroom
The CABR classroom is designed as an instruction laboratory with workbenches and lab stools in place of desks and chairs. This room has two fully equipped hoods and two wet benches and a type III water purifier. Both field portable and bench top meters are stored in the CABR classroom. Field measurement capability include pH, ion selective electrodes (chloride, nitrate, ammonium), dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and temperature. The classroom can be used for short term research projects as long as those projects do not interfere with the rooms primary function supporting Smith College classes and occasional technical short courses. Usage of the room is scheduled as a resource using the CABR scheduler. The scheduler and other information can be found on the center website at http://www.science.smith.edu/departments/cabr.
