Links below take you to some of the best works from previous years. All are included here by permission of the authors.
Fall 2002
- Phi Beta Lambda Club by Gergana Miteva (Project 1)
- Clean, modern design gets across the site's mission. Nice use of mouseovers on the members page.
- Travis the Dinosaur by Emily Shapiro (Project 2)
- This site uses JavaScript animation to completely change the way links function. The user sees pages sliding in and out, almost like reading an interactive storybook.
Spring 2002
- Rockfoxes.com by Brenda Ainsburg (Project 1)
- Interesting content, with excellent use of feedback and navigation aids. The site is easy to read and navigate. Note the links from the design document back into the main page.
- Dreamcastgirl by Mimi Nguyen (Project 1)
- This site (written by a student with no HTML experience prior to 102/105) uses a consistent combination of graphic elements to achieve a distinctive style consistent with the site's subject.
- Young Adult Fantasy Literature by Alison King and Cat Stolz (Project 2)
- This site smoothly organizes itself around its theme. The MadLibs page is well executed and fun.
Others
- MandaMusik by Amanda Dowell (Project 1)
- This site has a nice balance of graphic touches and navigation aids, woven together into a seamless whole.
- Skyscrapers by Cheuk-Man Chung (Project 2)
- Distinctive graphics, attention to detail, plus an entire game (Connect-4) created in JavaScript. Check it out!
