One day, Goldilocks was walking through the forest, when she saw a cottage. She wondered who might live in a cottage so deep in the woods. Curious, she went inside. The room inside was uninhabited. From where she stood at the door, she could see three rocking chairs of three different sizes, and a table with three bowls of oatmeal.

What should Goldilocks do?

The first chair was very large, and when Goldilocks sat down in it she discovered that its seat was very hard. She immediately got up and sat down in the second, medium-size chair. It was far too soft, and Goldilocks found herself squirming around in discomfort. She got up again and sat down in the third and smallest chair. This one felt just right, and Goldilocks sat in it so hard she wore the seat right through! Sho got up and looked around her.

What should Goldilocks do next?

Goldilocks took a sip of the first bowl of oatmeal, which was very large. It burned her tongue, because it was very hot. Leaving the first bowl where it was, Goldilocks took a bit from the second, medium-sized bowl. This time the oatmeal was very cold, and Goldilocks dropped the spoon in disgust. She tried the third and smallest bowl, and to her delight this one was just the riught temperature. She started eating greedily, and before she knew it she had finished the entire bowl. At this point, Goldilocks was feeling sleepy, so she looked around for a place to sleep.
