1. Compute the local ring O_p of the curve xy=0 at the point p=(0,0), as well as one other point. Briefly describe your hypotheses and/or conclusions.
2. (Challenge) Use the complex numbers as the base field. Classify the possible tangent cones of a curve defined by y²=f(x).
