Today I've been exploring the render function. I was able to create a few Interesting pictures. We also put together the cabinet that arrived and ordered a table. Next I will begin work on how to animate objects in Alias. I would like to create an animated file and add it to my web page.
Today Joe showed us some zoobs and I created a universal joint that imitated the zoob style. I also started to create a model of a protein Samri found in the data base. To create this protein structure I had to set a new plane in space and toggle between the two planes. Creating the protein is turing out to be harder than I originally thought. We were able to get a back bone of one of the proteins and it will be printed on Friday.
Joe introduced us to PovRay. It is a wonderful program in which you can create images from code. It is very hard to use and there isn’t a interactive tutorial, so it will be a while before I will be able to make anything spectacular. If you want to see some wonderful pictures go to PovRay.
