Optional Quiz
Quiz 6 is optional.
It covers RAM, storage, and video displays.
If you take it before Thursday 11 Dec noon (note the somewhat nonstandard time),
the last day of class,
then we will average the grade you receive on Quiz 6 with the
lowest grade you received on any of Quiz 1-5,
with Quiz 6 counting double the weight of the low quiz grade,
replacing
that low grade with the new weighted grade.
For example, suppose you received a 50 (i.e., 50%) on Quiz 2,
and that is your low score. If you take Quiz 6 and receive a 100%,
then we will replace your Quiz 2 grade with 83.3%.
Thus, it would be useful to take this quiz if you received a
low grade on some quiz, and you'd like to improve that bad grade.
This is a no-risk offer --
if your result on Quiz 6 is lower than your
lowest quiz grade, we will simply discard it.
