Limited Use License

Read the following terms and conditions carefully before using 
this Software package. Use of the software indicates your 
agreement to the license terms. If you do not agree, promptly 
return the package unopened to International Thomson Publishing 
for a refund.

By accepting this license, you have the right to use the Software 
and the accompanying documentation, but you do not become the 
owner of these materials.

This copy of the Software is licensed to you for use only under 
the following conditions:

1. Permitted Uses
You are granted a non-exclusive limited license to use the Software 
under the terms and conditions stated in this license.
You may:
a. Use the Software on a single computer.
b. Make a single copy of the Software in machine-readable form 
solely for backup purposes 
in support of your use of the Software on a single machine. You 
must reproduce and include the copyright notice on any copy you make.
c. Transfer this copy of the Software and the license to another 
user if the other user agrees to accept the terms and conditions 
of this license. If you transfer this copy of the Software, 
you must also transfer or destroy the backup copy you made. Transfer 
of this copy of the Software, and the license automatically 
terminates this license as to you.
d. Edit the electronic files for your own use and to hand in as 
part of class assignments.  

2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use, copy, modify, distribute, or transfer the Software 
or any copy, in whole or in part, except as expressly permitted in 
this license. You may not copy this Software in whole or in part onto

express written permission from the publisher.  You may not represent 
yourself as the author or owner of the Software.

3. Term
This license is effective when you open the Software package and 
remains in effect until terminated. You may terminate this license 
at any time by ceasing all use of the Software and destroying this 
copy and any copy you have made. It will also terminate automatically 
if you fail to comply with the terms of this license. Upon termination,
you agree to cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies.

4. Disclaimer of Warranty
Except as stated herein, the Software is licensed "as is" without 
warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of 
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. You assume the 
entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Software. 
You are responsible for the selection of the Software to achieve your 
intended results and for the installation, use and results obtained 
from it. PWS Publishing does not warrant the performance of nor 
results that may be obtained with the Software. PWS Publishing does 
warrant that the disk upon which the Software is provided will be free 
from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period
of 30 days from the date of delivery to you as evidenced by a receipt.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties so the 
above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you 
specific legal rights. you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

5. Limitation of Liability
Your exclusive remedy for breach by PWS Publishing of its limited 
warranty shall be replacement of any defective disk upon its return 
to PWS Publishing, together with a copy of the receipt, within the
warranty period. If PWS Publishing is unable to provide 
you with a replacement disk which is free of defects in material 
and workmanship, you may terminate this license by returning the 
Software, and the license fee paid hereunder will be refunded to you. 
In no event will PWS be liable for any lost profits or other 
damages including direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential 
or any other type of damages arising out of use or inability to use 
the Software even if PWS Publishing has been advised of the 
possibility of such damages.
