L-134 Engine

My Jeep has 82,000 miles on it. It also has been sitting outside onder a tree for 11 years. Needless to say the engine is stuck. I have the engine/trans/transfer case assembly on my homemade "cart". This is a piece of 3/4" plywood with a bunch of castors screwed to the bottom. The castors are cast-offs from some computer equipment at work. This is a handy way to move hevy things around the garage.

Here we have the head removed. Note that the cylinder bores are pretty rusty. I put some marvel mystery oil in each cylinder and let sit a while.

Here's where the Engine serial number is stamped. My 46' engine number is: J-66334A.

Here is a view of the block with the oil added to each cylinder.

I am going to make a serious effort to use this website to show how to rebuild the L-134. Some of you may find this obvious, and we do have the WIllys shop manual, but I think there is a place for this. Follow along as it evolves.....
