Text: Multivariable Calculus, by James Stewart (available at the bookstore)
Prerequisite: MTH 112 and 211. 211 may be taken concurrently
Topics Covered: Vectors, dot and vector products, curves in the space and their velocity, functions of several variables, continuity and limits, partial derivatives. Double and triple integrals. Path integration and Green's Theorem. You may consult the (very) tentative schedule of lectures for more details.
Homework: The homework assignment will be posted on my web page (see above) each week. It will be due on Wednesdays. You will be asked to bring preliminary drafts on Mondays that you will discuss in your group and with the class. You are strongly encouraged to read the relevant section(s) of the book before coming to class.
Exams & Project: There will be 2 in class midterms and 1 take-home group project. The final will be a self-scheduled exam.
