When the printer has not been used for a certain period of time (30 minutes by default), it will save power by going into sleep mode. It can be woken up from sleep mode and resume printing immediately.

If you are not planning to use the printer for a long time (for instance, a day or more), you can switch it off using the power switch at the back.

Whenever you switch it on again, it will take about ten minutes to reinitialize itself, after which it will be ready to print.
