Sending documents to an HP Designjet printer that contain images saved in red-green-blue (RGB) color
will result in a successful print despite the fact that the printer uses only CMYK inks.
The printer has the ability to convert the color of RGB images to CMYK for printing
using color management profiles.
Even mixed source (images in RGB and CMYK color) documents can be printed successfully
with HP Designjet printers.
However, for the best color quality of images, it's important to follow
Hewlett-Packard's work-flow recommendations for specific applications.
See color-managed work flows.
