Two types of information are typically posted here:

• Availability information: Notices that resources will be unavailable, along with dates/times and reasons. For instance, “the wireless-access point in McConnell Lobby will be unavailable on 2/4/07 from 1-3pm while it is being upgraded” or “Burton 303 computer classroom will be unavailable the week of 8/4 while the computers are reconfigured.”
• Security information: Notices of new/changed security threats. For instance, “Be aware that the Bloxo virus is running rampant on the Five Colleges and could strike Smith College at any time.”  Or “You should be using the latest version of RatchaGadget to avoid a potential takeover of your Windows system.”
