Monochrome iPrint Drivers for Faculty and Staff
- Drivers for shared monochrome printers, hall printers, etc. are available at
https://science.smith.edu/ipp (requires authentication as a member of Division 3).
- General Install Hints: Notice that the FIRST time you click on a printer, it will install the iPrint client, if you don't already have it, rather than the printer driver. You'll need to close and re-open your web browser to install a particular printer.
- Macintosh: RESTART your Macintosh after installing the iPrint client!
Color and Monochrome Pharos (Pay for Print) Drivers for Students/Faculty/Staff
- Drivers for classroom printers, shared monochrome printers, color printers, etc.
Please be considerate and do not print to a classroom printer while a class is in session!
- Notice that many printers have SEPARATE Color and Monochrome queues, with different drivers. To avoid higher printing costs, you can install only the monochrome drivers.
- The color printer in Sabin-Reed 135 (the Xerox room) is the only printer that has both 8 1/2 X 11 and 11 X 17 inch paper. It's perfect for test runs of posters.
- Windows: After installing a printer, you need to configure it to allow duplexing and, for the Sabin-Reed Xerox Room printer, enable all 4 trays.
- Go to Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes then right-click on the printer and choose Properties.
- On the Device Settings or Device Options tab, change the Duplex option to Installed or Yes.
- On SR-Xerox-Room printers, set the number of Available Trays to 4.
- Macintosh: If you haven't installed Pharos drivers on this Mac before, install this driver first, then return to download and run the drivers for any printers you'd like to install.
