The Ismail Lab

About Niveen

I am an assistant professor in the Picker Engineering Program at Smith College. I am broadly interested in contaminants that impact our ecosystems and the environmental processes that govern the fate and transport of these contaminants. I am passionate about engaging student in my research through both coursework and laboratory experiences. As a faculty member at Smith I have the opportunity to work with students, colleagues, and the community when considering how to implement water quality improvements and ecological rehabilitation.
When I am not in lab or in the classroom, you can find me running long distances in the woods with my dogs or exploring in the mountains. To learn more about me see my CV below or my Smith College biography.
