Emergency Contact Information
Interterm 2008 Trip
January 12-24
While you are in the Bahamas, it is best if family members and friends do not try to contact you by phone. Phone calls to the Bahamas are expensive, and the only phone line to the Gerace Research Center (GRC) is the business phone, needed by the staff for their daily work. GRC staff members are not available to handle personal messages except in the case of real emergency. This also applies for the use of the GRC e-mail address.
You will be able to call home from San Salvador, either from the Gerace Research Center campus or from the Bahamas telephone company office in the nearby village of Cockburn Town. You also can send and receive email at the GRC for a very minimal charge. So, the message here is: don’t call me except in case of real emergency. I’ll contact you!
Emergency contact points at the Gerace Research Center on San Salvador Island, Bahamas:
Telephone: 242-331-2520 or 2521
Fax: 242-331-2524
