Absolute Constant Error:

• ACE = I CE I

• If we had the following data:

  • S1 CE = 20
  • S2 CE = 30
  • S3 CE = -40
  • S4 CE = -10
  • Mean Group CE (20+30-40-10)/4 = 0; but no subjects had a CE of 0

• ACE = (20+30+40+10) / 4 = 25 which comes closer to reflecting average error in group.

  • Different than AE since take CEs rather than original AEs
