BARBARA
BREHM-CURTIS
Barbara Brehm-Curtis is professor of exercise & sport studies. She teaches Health Behavior, Nutrition and Health, Stress Management, and Sports Nutrition. She also teaches a seminar, Women's Health: Current Topics. During the summers, she teaches aerobics and yoga for the Smith College Executive Education programs. She is director of the Smith Fitness Program for Faculty and Staff.
Professor Brehm-Curtis's specialty is translating exercise and health science for real people, and she writes extensively on nutrition, fitness, and stress management topics. She has received the San Diego County Medical Society Media Award and was a Maggie award finalist for her writing for Fitness Management, where she has been a contributing editor since 1985.
