Creative students seeking a new technology need an introduction to drone technology (and all its baggage) in a liberal-arts fashion in order to understand the responsibilities of safe drone use.
This initiative aims to provide the opportunity, platform, and resources for Smith students (and professors!) to learn and to inspire. With sponsorship from the Spatial Analysis Lab and Design Thinking Initiative, students will not only be more aware of the issues and perceptions surrounding the up-and-coming technology of drones, but also become better equipped for using drones in scientific research, arts and other fields.
