Assistant Professor tenure-track position in Psychology and Neuroscience. This is a position within the Psychology Department, with participation in the Neuroscience Program. Teaching responsibilities include four course preparations per year. Candidates should be able to teach an introductory course, experimental methods and advanced laboratory-based courses in psychology and neuroscience. We are seeking a person who would maintain an active research laboratory on-site at Smith College using animal models to study psychological questions at multiple levels. We would be particularly interested in a candidate with expertise in behavioral neuroscience and/or neuroanatomical techniques. Requirements include a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field, and dedication to teaching and collaborative research with undergraduate students. We also value experience in establishing rapport with and mentoring students from underrepresented groups in the sciences.
