BUDWEISER CONSERVATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
This highly competitive scholarship program is designed to respond to many of the most significant challenges in fish, wildlife, and plant
conservation in the U.S. -- whether it's the sustainable use of natural
resources, including sport fish and game; recovery of an endangered species; or control of invasive exotic species -- by providing scholarships to eligible graduate and undergraduate students who are poised to make a significant contribution to the field of conservation. Jointly sponsored by Anheuser-Busch and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship
Granting organization: Barry M. GLodwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation

Purpose: "To encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in mathematics, natural sciences, or engineering, and to foster excellence in those fields."

Dr. Wesley Eckenfelder, Jr. Scholarship
Granting organization: Brown and Caldwell
Who's eligible: U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents, full-time student enrolled in her junior year or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college, declared major in one of the environmental sciences (biology, ecology, geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering)
Amount of award: $3,000
Purpose: "To support students in the environmental sciences to honor industry pioneers and invest in the future."

EPA National Network for Environmental Management Studies (NNEMS) Fellowship Program
Granting Organization: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Who's eligible: Undergrad's and grad's
Amount of award: Varies; related to the students level of education and the duration and location of the project
Purpose: "To help students refine their professional skills and enhance their knowedge of environmental issues" by supporting research projects in environmental policy, regulations, and law; environmental management and administration; environmental science; public relations and communications; and computer programming and development

Frances M. Peacock Scholarship for Native Bird Habitat

Kathryn Fuller Fellowship
Granting Organization: World Wildlife Fund
Who's eligible: Applicants should have received a doctorate degree after January 2002. Fuller Fellows can be based at any institution, including at World Wildlife Fund, and will co-advised by one academic and one WWF mentor.
Amount of award: a stipend of $50,000 per year, as well as a $15,000 annual research allowance.
Purpose: Fellowships will be awarded for a two year period to individuals with outstanding research proposals that are of fundamental and immediate importance to global biodiversity conservation.
Deadline: November 15, 2006 Offers will be made in the spring of 2007, with fellowships to begin in the fall of 2007.

Minority Scholarship Program
Granting organization: Brown and Caldwell
Who's eligible: U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents, full-time student enrolled in her junior year at an accredited four-year undergraduate college, declared major in an environmental science (biology, ecology, geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering), cumulative gpa of 3.0 or higher, member of a minority group as defined by EEOC (see website), available to participate in a (paid) summer internship at a Brown and Caldwell office.
Amount of award: $3,000
Purpose: B&C is committed to increase opportunities for future scientists and engineers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds.

Morris K. Udall Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Program
Granting Organizations: Morris K. Udall Scholarship and Excellence in National Environmental Policy Foundation

Who's eligible: Undergrads and Grad students who have undertaken course work or research in an area related to the biology, ecology or management of aquatic plants in the Southeast. Preference is given to students in SC or southeastern U. S.
