Hackathon for Undergrads

Possibly of interest to data science undergraduates across the Five Colleges:

The MITRE Corporation is hosting a hackathon for undergraduates in the area of developing “geospatial analytics and applying machine learning to locate disaster response resources and their movements, understand patterns and anomalies in geospatial data, and develop analytics on big data.”  It assumes that participants will participate directly at one of the MITRE sites in either Bedford, Massachusetts or McLean, Virginia. Here is a link to the web page with details:  https://www.mitre.org/hack2react

P.S. I was a MITRE employee for 23 years before coming to UMass. Happy to answer questions from those curious to know more about the company. -b
