Girls Who Code in Chicopee in search of a club leader

Good morning!

I am a class of 2010 alum, and I have a rather unconventional opportunity for a Computer Science student. I am hoping you might be able to help me connect with a few interested candidates.
My program serves low-income youth living in Chicopee public housing. We have identified an opportunity for a unique and powerful experience for the young women who attend the after school program. Perhaps you’ve heard of them—Girls Who Code? This after school club provides a computer programming curriculum for young women currently in 6th-12th grade. Several of our program youth have expressed interest in the club, but we are lacking a club leader. This is where you and the Smith College Computer Science department may be able to help.
I am looking for a Smith student majoring in computer science who would be interested in helping us bring Girls Who Code to the young women in our program. It would be in the afternoons, for about 2-3 hours after school. The student would need to be available for a full year MondayThursday from 3PM-5PM. As of right now, it would be on a volunteer basis, but there is a possibility that a stipend of $600 per semester will be available at a later date. If necessary, transportation can be provided.
Would you mind providing this information to the students in the Computer Science department? They are welcome to contact me directly at the information listed below. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, and thank you in advance for your help!
