Each summer the Chemistry Department at Smith offers a number of positions that enable students to participate in research in chemistry and biochemistry. For instance, in the summer of '10, 26 students did research in the Department with 7 different faculty members. For information on the range of the projects available, click on the research opportunities link in the menu to the right. The faculty have presented a series of talks during the lunchbag seminars in which they outlined their research projects. The deadline this year for submission of a Chemistry Department application is February 17. You may obtain a form for the Department application by clicking here. Summer research stipends in 2012 will about $3800.
