RESEARCH INTERESTS
Biosynthesis of natural products-how do enzymes catalyze the production of important bioactive molecules, and how can we reengineer this process to arrive at new derivatives with enhanced properties? We are currently focused on antibiotic biosynthesis and new routes to mitigate the problem of antibiotic resistance.
