ENGINEERING INTERNSHIPS

One of the Picker students is shown above on the job, a summer internship with Adaptive Environments in Boston where she assisted in tasks associated with designing and renovating the company’s new office space.

At Smith, you’ll have the chance to experience how engineers create solutions through internships in both the public and private sector. Whether you opt for an internship at a major corporation, smaller consulting firm, government agency, or academic research setting, you’ll put engineering science principles into practice.

Your internships will expose you to state-of-the-art facilities and connect you with inspiring mentors. The experience you gain will help you explore your interests in a hands-on way and give you a competitive edge whether you go on to graduate school or embark upon a career. And, like all students at Smith, you’ll have access to funding for summer internships through the College’s innovative Praxis program.

For assistance with finding internships as well as jobs after graduation, contact the Career Development Office.
